ANC hosts games
The ANC held an elections tournament at the KwaThema Sports Complex on Saturday.
Ten soccer teams and 10 netball teams from Ekurhuleni battled it out for the chance to be crowned the winners .
The goal for the day was to pocket the much envied big prize and to walk away the champs of Ekurhuleni.
Winners received R5 000, runners-up, R3 000 and third place, R2 000.
Spectators had fun watching the older players strut their stuff in the different games that started early.
Six-year-old Thabang Shawela from Vergenoeg in KwaThema was excited to see his father taking part in the games.
“I never knew that older people could play such good soccer, especially my father. I hope my father wins,” he said.
The day’s events went smoothly with many young supporters coming in to share in the festivities.
