Izinyoka strike movers
Izinyoka retained its position as log leaders in the SAB regional league after beating Movers Ayoba on Saturday, in a game played at the Legacy Stadium in Extension 2 KwaThema.
The first half belonged to the visitors, making the Movers’ goalkeeper and defence work hard. Izinyoka player number 11, Victor “mavinegar” Ralekgokgo managed to score the only goal of the match in the first 45 minutes.
Movers were awarded a free kick after their player was brought down but they failed to capitalise, sending the ball wide.
Izinyoka was also given a free kick a few minutes later and the Movers’ goalkeeper jumped high, clearing the ball, resulting in a corner kick which was wasted by Izinyoka players.
In the second half, Movers players who had home advantage and supporters cheering them on, suddenly came alive.
It was the Izinyoka goalkeeper who had to do a lot of diving to prevent Movers from equalising.
As both teams pushed hard in search of a goal, the referee started using his yellow cards with a total of four players being booked. Movers made a few substitutions which yielded no result.
