Masakhane games players to meet

The KwaThema Sports Council is calling for all the players who have been selected to play in the Masakhane final games.

According to council’s school sport manager, Innocent Mayoyo, all the players need to meet to discuss the important details about the games and to also nominate the technical teams’ officials.

He says the nomination of the technical officials will be based strictly on the condition that the nominee needs to have a sports team and not be a member of KwaThema Sports Council.

He appeals to the athletes to attend as he says that they are needed for confirmation and screening as well as the distribution of the training equipment to prepare for the final games to take place on June 14.

The players will meet at Bulithando Park on February 9 at 9.30am.

Mayoyo also appeals to the Kwatsaduza community to be part of a special meeting that will be held by KwaThema Sports Council in partnership with Springs Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture on February 13 at KwaThema Community Hall at 5pm.

He says all the sports federations, clubs, organisations and non-profit organisations are also invited.

He says on the day the sports council will explain its role and responsibilities as far as local sport is concerned. “We will also be distributing affiliation forms as all sporting codes need to be registered and belong to federations,” says Mayoyo.
