Masakhane netball team meet

Netball players who were selected during the Masakhane games late last year, met at Bulithando Park, KwaThema on Sunday.

Masakhane games is a development programme that aims to identify two players from each sporting code from all townships in Ekurhuleni, who will form the Ekurhuleni Sports Academy which will be established.

President of the Kwatsaduza Netball Association, Thoko Skosana, says Kwatsaduza is a step ahead.

She says the biggest resolution taken at a recent netball indaba, is to, “strengthen the relationship between schools and federations,” which is what they started doing from last year.

Other resolutions include assisting potential players through talent identification and capacity building by training captains, coaches and administrators.

Those who were not selected during last year’s Masakhane netball games are invited to also come for training, to help them prepare for this year’s selection.

The next training will be at 2pm on February 23 at Bulithando Park.
