SAPS Crime awareness campaign

SAPS Alberton had a crime awareness campaign on May 18. The campaign took place in Verwoerd Park.

ALBERTON – Domestic workers of the area joined forces with the Police and distributed pamphlets house to house. These pamphlets had safety tips on hijackings, housebreakings, and children’s safety at home and in public places.

This social crime prevention project was organised by Sgt Mgedezi and supported by the SAPS Alberton Communication officer Sgt Nkuna, Sector Manager W/O Ngobeni and acting Vispol Commander Captain Matlou.

The acting Station Commander Lt Col Maswanganyi thanked all the officers and the domestic workers for making use of their time on Sunday to help fight crime.
