GALLERY: Entrepreneur introduces new clothing range

On February 4, businesswoman Cindy Pretorius officially launched her business, Luka Collection, at Lua A Bakers Café.

The pandemic gave businesswoman Cindy Pretorius an opportunity to pursue her dream of establishing her own clothing brand.

Apart from being the owner of Lua A Baker’s Café in Randhart, she has added a clothing brand to the list.

On February 4, she officially launched her business, Luka Collection, at Lua A Bakers Café. On the day, attendees were pampered with treats while going through a pile of clothes in-store.

“Luka Collection is a feminine collection of clothing designed with a touch of nostalgia and a vintage feel to it. My 22-year-old daughter has also added clay earrings to the collection. Our range is designed by me for women, toddlers and babies,” said Pretorius.

They specialise in floral garments, handmade clay earrings and are looking at expanding their collection. The entrepreneur said the name Luka is translated as ‘bringer of light’ and that her brand offers floral vintage and self-designed fabrics.

“For a long time I wanted to start my own clothing range and during the pandemic, I figured it was time I explored and got into this business. I finally decided to pursue my dream and everything just fell into place. I saw it best to run the business at the café because of my clientele,” she said.
