Eden Park mother remains in custody

Eden Park mother Joanne Swartbooi, accused of murdering her boyfriend, will reappear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on May 4.

Joanne Swartbooi briefly reappeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on March 17.

The matter was postponed to May 4 for further investigation due to outstanding forensic analysis and DNA results.

The 36-year-old mother of three faces a charge of murder after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.

She remains in custody after she was denied bail. The accused has since denied the allegations against her.
