Trinityhouse Glenvista holds its third bell-ringing ceremony

Smiles and laughter were evident on learners and parent’s faces as 140 learners each participated in the school’s beloved tradition.

Trinityhouse Glenvista School welcomed their new Grade One learners during the school’s bell-ringing ceremony on February 1.

A total of 140 learners participated in the cherished tradition of the school, and smiles and laughter’s were visible on the faces of both learners and parents. The ceremony began with a prayer, followed by a speech from Sarah Harvey, the deputy school principal to the first graders, and a performance of the school anthem.

According to Harvey, this was Trinityhouse’s 25th annual tradition ceremony.

“This was first done at Randpark Ridge, and this is the third ceremony at Glenvista. Basically, this is just to welcome the kindergarteners and allow them to integrate into the larger school. Ringing the bell simply brings them into the campus from preschool because it is a symbol of them beginning their academic journey,” said Harvey.
