Suspects nabbed for possession of unlicensed firearm appear in court

The suspects were arrested by Brackendowns SAPS crime prevention members during a stop and search.

Three suspects appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court for possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Brackendowns SAPS crime prevention members held a stop and search when they came across a white Kia K2700 with three males inside.

They found a black plastic packet containing one 38 special Rossi and five bullets. They requested the driver to produce his license for the firearm and he couldn’t.

The firearm was tested and it came out as a stolen firearm with cas 435/12/2023.

The suspects were detained at Brackendowns SAPS for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court today, December 27.
