CPS Security continues to fight crime in Alberton
CPS Security made several arrests in the greater Alberton area. The company continues fighting crime to make Alberton safer for residents.
CPS Security recently made several notable arrests in the Alberton area.
Their proactive efforts in apprehending wanted suspects of burglars have resulted in a safer neighbourhood.
House robber arrested in Alberton North.
CPS Security arrested a man for house burglary on 1st Avenue, Alberton North, in the early hours of July 3.
The CPS Security control centre received a call about a suspect who had leapt onto a resident’s property.
The company’s reaction units searched the property and detained one suspect there and then.
The Alberton SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was handed over.
“Well done on the quick response, guys,” Tyrone van der Merwe, the sales director of CPS Security, said.
ATM bombers arrested in Palm Ridge
CPS Security apprehended three foreign nationals in Palm Ridge for alleged involvement in ATM bombings in Alrode, Eden Park and Thokoza on July 4.

Director of CPS Security Tyrone van der Merwe said information was given to their team about a syndicate recently implicated in ATM explosions in the Alberton region.
“Three residences were searched as part of an early-morning takedown operation in the Palm Ridge neighbourhood, which their team organised,” Van der Merwe said.
During the operation, three suspects were taken into custody. The seized items included explosives, tainted cash, and a hijacked car.
Units involved: ABSA Investigation Unit, CI Ekurhuleni, CPS Security, the EMPD Intervention Unit, the EMPD Community Liaison Unit, the EMPD K9, the FNB PCM team, Fox Security, the Gauteng Traffic Police Special Law Enforcement Unit, LCRC Germiston and Vusela Intel.
“Well done to all the members who made these arrests a success,” said Van der Merwe.
Cable thieves arrested
A concerned householder called the CPS Security control room after spotting two strangers outside a residence.

After dispatching CPS Security reaction units, both men were seen cutting electrical cables when the units arrived. Both were arrested.
The officers found cable and cutting equipment on the scene.
The Germiston SAPS was contacted, and a case was opened.
