Brackendowns CPF member pursues fleeing suspect
A Brackendowns CPF member chased two suspects in a veld next to the R59.
Brackendowns SAPS officers pursued two suspects who had fled on foot, and for a moment, it seemed they had evaded capture. However, a clothing description given out saw the suspects again identified.
A Brackendowns CPF member saw the men in a veld near the R59 and gave chase, pursuing the suspects alongside the SAPS officers because the suspects ran in separate directions.
The SAPS officers pursued the one while the CPF member ran after the other, and after a short chase, they caught both suspects – one by the CPF member, the other by the SAPS officers.
The incident occurred on November 26, but it is still unclear what the suspects were arrested for. The Alberton Record has requested comment from authorities and will give an update once received.
