Joint operation leads to swift arrest of 3 theft suspects in Mondeor

A coordinated effort between Fox Tactical, Mondeor SAPS, and CPF Sector 2 led to the rapid arrest of three suspects linked to vehicle thefts.

A swift and coordinated response between Fox Tactical, Mondeor SAPS detectives, and Mondeor CPF Sector Two led to the successful arrest of three suspects believed to be involved in the theft of motor vehicles.

The joint operation unfolded on November 7, after a lookout was issued for a grey Toyota suspected to have been used in a theft incident in the Brackenhurst area.

The vehicle was quickly uploaded to the License Plate Recognition (LPR) network, where it was detected travelling through Mondeor shortly after.

Responding rapidly, Fox Tactical members joined forces with Mondeor detectives and CPF Sector 2 patrols to track down the vehicle.

Their search led them to a local shopping centre, where the suspects’ car was spotted.

As the three men attempted to leave the premises, officers moved in and surrounded the vehicle, ensuring there was no escape.

All three suspects were apprehended on the scene without incident.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a stash of car-breaking tools, signal jammers, and fake license plates, which serve as evidence linking the suspects to a series of vehicle-related crimes.

Francois Jansen, director of Fox Security, praised the swift collaboration between all responding units.

“This arrest shows what can be achieved when security teams, police and the community work together. The rapid communication between our partners made it possible to locate and apprehend the suspects before they could target anyone else,” he said.

The suspects remain in custody and are expected to face charges related to theft out of motor vehicles and possession of illegal equipment.

Jansen commended everyone involved, adding: “We’re proud of the teamwork and professionalism displayed by all members. This is a great example of how collective vigilance keeps our communities safer.”

Authorities continue to urge residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious vehicles, and support initiatives that strengthen cooperation among private security, law enforcement, and local community forums.
