Swift security operation foils tyre theft and uncovers hijacked truck
A swift joint operation by Fox Security and SAPS led to the recovery of stolen truck tyres in Alrode, the arrest of two suspects, and the discovery of a hijacked vehicle.
A coordinated operation in Alrode resulted in the recovery of stolen truck tyres and the arrest of two suspects, following swift action by Fox Security and law-enforcement partners on December 9.
According to information received through the CCIN network, a consignment of tyres stolen earlier in the morning in Benoni was being offloaded in the Alrode area.
Fox Security’s Tactical Unit responded to the alert and collaborated with SAPS Highway Patrol and CPS Security to intercept the suspected transfer of the stolen goods.
The joint team disrupted the offloading process and detained two individuals at the scene.
The stolen tyres were recovered intact.
During the operation, officers also discovered that one of the trucks present had been hijacked.
SAPS remained on site and secured the area to further investigate.
The suspects are expected to face charges, pending further enquiry.
