Eden Park school buys water tanks amid water shortage

The previous water shortages in Eden Park forced Eden Park Senior Secondary School staff to release learners early, affecting teaching and learning.

Eden Park Senior Secondary School received water tanks to alleviate the impact of the widespread water shortages. The school hosted a fundraiser to buy the water tanks.

With the help of the school’s class (alumni) of 1986, it bought the water tanks and had them installed.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Alumni 86 and everyone who supported our school’s fundraiser. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have purchased and installed two JoJo tanks,” said the school’s principal, Richard Mbaco.

The school hopes these water tanks will ensure a consistent water supply, allowing the teaching staff uninterrupted teaching and learning.

“In the past, the water issues in our community forced us to dismiss school early, affecting valuable teaching and learning time. Thank you for making this possible and your continued support,” added an excited Mbaco.
