Alberton-based anti-GBV activist to launch book that coincides with 16 Days of Activism
Lucinda who was previously a non-believer, shares how she underwent a transformation that led to her discovering Christ.
Alberton-based anti-GBV campaigner and author, Lucinda Pietersen, is launching a book called The Epiphany of My Soul.
An activist for abused women and children, Lucinda’s new book coincides with the upcoming 16 Days of Activism.
Lucinda, who was previously a non-believer, shares how she underwent a transformation that led to her discovering Christ.
“Through my story, I wish to offer a message of hope, forgiveness, the power of breakthrough and reminding readers that no matter how many times we fall, hope is never truly lost,” said Lucinda. As a survivor of abuse herself, Lucinda added that she hopes that her book will serve as a voice for those who have been silenced.
Asked what inspired her to write the book, Lucinda said: “I decided to write because I believe my experiences were not just for me, but to help others who may be facing similar struggles. My story has the power to inspire others to overcome their own obstacles and find hope in the face of adversity.” Book enthusiasts are encouraged to attend the launch of The Epiphany of My Soul.
The book launch is scheduled to be held on December 1 at the View Events Venue, Kibler Park. Tickets are R500 each, which will include a welcome drink, signed book, gift bag, light lunch and entertainment with the speakers present.
