16 Days of Activism: Social Crime Prevention takes a stand against violence
The Kliprivier SAPS Social Crime Prevention urges locals to take action to support the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign observed from November 25 to December 10.
Kliprivier SAPS Social Crime Prevention, in collaboration with patrollers, hosted a successful event to raise awareness about the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign.
The event, held at the R550 traffic lights in Kliprivier, aimed to promote the message of no violence against women and children.
During the event, 300 pamphlets were distributed to motorists, street vendors, and municipal workers along the road.

A gazebo was set up at the traffic lights, attracting many people to stop and enquire about the event’s purpose.
The event’s organisers were encouraged by the positive response from the community. Many people interacted with the team, echoing the slogan ‘no violence against women and children should continue throughout the year’.
This sentiment emphasizes the importance of promoting awareness and action against violence beyond the 16-day campaign.

The event served as a powerful reminder that preventing violence against women and children requires a collective effort.
Social Crime Prevention and patrollers’ collaboration demonstrates the impact that can be made when communities come together to promote a shared vision of a safer, more compassionate society.
