Goodbyes are notoriously tearful but none more so than when we had to say farewell to our beloved children when they left South Africa last Thursday.
We’ve known it was coming for a few years, but the day came all too soon when we hugged our daughter and son-in-law farewell at OR Tambo Airport as we wished them all the luck in the world for their next adventure in the UK.
It has made the parting slightly less painful as we know they have family and friends on the other side who will be there for them, with love and support. But our hearts still ache and we know the next few weeks and months will be especially hard without them. It’s going to take all our strength to cope with not having them around, but we know, though, this is the right move for them. We’ll begin planning our trip to visit. I know I shouldn’t wish time away, but oh my goodness, roll on December.
Spring is coming
I think we’ve just a few more weeks to get through and the weather will become warmer and the evenings and mornings lighter. Not that we can complain really; the days have been splendid for the past few weeks. I’m looking forward to waking up in the light, being able to begin morning walks again and concentrate on becoming fitter and healthier. A few months of no real exercise isn’t good for my soul.
Get that dent fixed
A friend of mine recently parked her car in a shopping centre parking and came back to see a dent on the side, most likely from a runaway trolley and she was really upset. She’d seen a newish business, South Auto Dent & Spray at 11 Orpen Road, Eastcliffe and decided to give them a go. “What awesome service I received. The guys, Trent Sham, the owner, and Rhett Sham, were friendly and professional and I got a great job done. My car looks like new again and I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced they were compared to other businesses. I’ll definitely recommend them,” she said. For cosmetic dents and respraying, give them a call on 011 436 1630/1027. I’ll certainly keep them in mind in case I have a little or slightly bigger mishap.
