They visited Lambton Christian School on May 2.
The aim of the campaign was to teach children about abuse and the dangers of bullying.
“We also taught youngsters about different types of abuse and where they can report abuse,” said Cleveland SAPS spokesperson Captain Johan Jordaan.
“Lambton Christian School youngsters showed interest during the campaign and asked a lot of crime-related questions.

“Some youngsters talked to us about personal encounters with crime, such as burglaries and robberies at their houses. It is obvious that crime traumatises our children and we need to talk about it with them and educate them about the seriousness of crime and the consequences thereof,” he said.
Jordaan said the Social Crime Prevention Unit will continue to visit schools regularly to educate youngsters about crimes.
“We want youngsters to know that they can talk about abuse and crime to friends, family and police. They can also contact Childline on 0800 55 555,” he said.
Headmaster of the school Abbigale Chamunorwa expressed her gratitude to the SAPS members for considering the school to be part of the campaign.
