Lockdown came unexpectedly for everyone including the Greenstone couple.

Catching up with the Skosans during lockdown and what they have been up to since they have more time on their hands.

Semone and Courtnall Skosan are a power couple who are not strangers to the limelight.

Courtnall has played for the Blue Bulls and was called up to the South African u-20 team for the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship.

He is a professional Lions Super Rugby player.

He is also an entrepreneur, aspiring motivational speaker and gamer from time to time.

Semone is a previous pageant model and entrepreneur.

Semon a previous Mrs SA participant, talks more about life during lockdown with her family.

She said she enjoys the digital space and all things fashion and beauty.

Lockdown came unexpectedly for everyone including the Greenstone couple.

Semone said they love that they live in a safe community among friendly people.

“Our children have the freedom of playing together.”

Before lockdown, Courtnall was in the middle of the Super Rugby Tournament.

“We were in the middle of launching our winter range for our clothing apparel Skosan Apparel.

“We were also working on campaigns with brands,” said Semone.

The mother of two shared how lockdown has been for their family.

“It is been different for all of us.

“It took us a few days to figure out a routine which helps us manage our work, household and children.”

Semone said they have used lockdown time to communicate better.

“We are experiencing new things together and learning on a daily basis.

“We try by all means to protect our peace and do things we also enjoy as individuals like gaming and self-care.”

Home workouts are one of the couple’s passions.

Semone said they are working on creating an online training platform with a friend of theirs.

The pair post a lot of workouts on different social media platforms.

“We enjoy home workouts the most together and we’ve found games to play with household products that gets the whole family involved.”

Not everybody appreciates social media and lockdown challenges Semone shared her opinion on this.

“In some way people are still trying to feel connected and we have done a few fun challenges ourselves.

“I think everyone has control over what they listen to and watch during this time.”

Semone said they focuses on positivity instead of negativity.

“We enjoy social media and try to share positivity wherever we go even though we are all in trying times.”

Semone talks more about lockdown with her family.

Although Semone said her pageant days are over rugby remains a favourite for the family.

“I went through a self-discovery journey with Mrs SA and my priority now is my family and working on a future for our children.

“Our schedules are so busy, I wouldn’t find the time to commit to something like that.”

Semone added rugby means leaving a legacy for their children and generations to come.

Her message during the community is to stay at home, be safe and keep praying.
