Among those apprehended was a 37-year-old motorist driving a grey BMW, who was clocked at 188 km/h on the N4 freeway. The driver was immediately arrested.
The department said the offenders were charged with reckless and negligent driving, with an alternative charge of exceeding the prescribed speed limit.

GTP spokespersons have urged motorists to observe speed limits and prioritise road safety, particularly on high-traffic routes.
Authorities warned that similar enforcement operations will continue throughout the province to curb dangerous driving behaviour.
