Family restrained during house robbery in Bedfordview
Bedfordview police are on the hunt for four house robbery suspects who tied their victims with cables ties, ransacked the house and made away with stolen goods.
Bedfordview police are investigating a house robbery after an incident at a residence in Townsend Estate, Bedfordview.
Bedfordview SAPS communication liaison officer Sergeant Lillian Modiga reported that the incident occurred on September 11 at 13:15.
“The 66-year-old complainant alleged that he was at home with his mother-in-law, domestic worker and daughter when they were confronted by four unknown males, one reportedly armed with a firearm,” said Modiga.

“The suspects allegedly restrained the occupants with cable ties and demanded money before ransacking the house.”
The suspects allegedly fled in a white Mazda CX-5 with two HP laptops, a 65-inch Samsung television, three cellphones, $6 500 and R3 000 in cash.
Modiga said no injuries were reported, adding that the suspects allegedly gained entry after breaking the padlock on a small gate.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are following up on all available leads to trace and apprehend the suspects.
