Metro warns of water interruption

The planned maintenance could leave residents without water for 30 hours.

Residents of the eastern parts of Benoni, including Daveyton and Etwatwa, will experience water problems on December 6 and 7.

Planned maintenance at the Vlakfontein Reservoir, part of Rand Water’s Mapleton system maintenance project, will leave residents and businesses with low pressure to no water from 08:00 on December 6 to 16:00 on December 7.

Affected areas:
• Rynsoord;
• Apex;
• Slaterville;
• Fairleads;
• Morehill;
• Crystal Park;
• Putfontein AH;
• Benoni AH;
• Cloverdene;
• Chief Albert Luthuli;
• Daveyton;
• Mayfield;
• Etwatwa.

Residents are urged to prepare for the interruption by storing safe drinking water.

Roving water tankers will be available to assist those living in the affected areas.
