NPO needs donations to teach gardening skills

Donations toward this skills development workshop desperately needed.

A Way Out, a Fairleads-based NPO established in 2020, has been extending a helping hand to families in need, supplying food and offering assistance in poverty relief.

This Easter, the organisation aims to equip beneficiaries with skills to build veggie boxes.

Scheduled for the end of March, the organisation’s founders André and Toni Kruger hope the workshop will assist registered families to create an additional income stream either by selling the boxes or using their new-found skills to grow veggies for personal use and sale.

While the adults participate in the workshop, the children will be entertained during an Easter egg hunt.

In order to guarantee a successful event, the hosts are requesting assistance in acquiring the following items:
• Meals for 300 beneficiaries

• Coldrink

• Pallet wood to build vegetable boxes

• Screws, nails and tools

• Veggie seeds or seedlings

• Compost and soil

• Watering cans

• Easter eggs

For more information on how you can donate or volunteer your time, contact Toni on 066 363 4694.
