The SAPS arrested a man at a plot in Petit after finding him with dagga with an estimated street value of R125 000.
According to Crystal Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mopeli, the arrest followed a routine patrol by the Visible Policing (Vispol) commander and other officers in the area.
“While patrolling, the officers noticed an advertising board indicating that there was a shop selling dagga. When they entered the premises, they found dagga packed in various packages. They asked to see a permit authorising the sale of dagga, but the owner failed to produce one,” said Mopeli.

Officers detained the man at the Crystal Park SAPS and booked him in the confiscated dagga as evidence.
The man has since appeared in court.
