BHS improves on matric results

“We are happy with the improvement on our overall matric pass rate.”

Benoni High School’s Dr Eugene Rooyakkers congratulated the Class of 2025 on an overall improvement in the matric pass rate.

The school achieved a 99.6% pass rate, which is an improvement of 0.4% from 2024.

Learners attained 213 distinctions, with Cassie Jonker claiming top honours with seven distinctions.

“The learners, with support from the educators and their parents, were steadfast in their commitment to their studies,” said Rooyakkers.

“I am incredibly proud of each of the learners. Through their hard work and dedication, they have built a solid foundation to launch them into a successful future.”

He urged this year’s matrics to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, using each opportunity to commit to their studies while maintaining a healthy balance.
