The acting police minister, Firoz Cachalia and members of the SAPS visited Ephes Mamkeli High School in Wattville on March 2, delivering much needed school shoes to the learners.

During his speech, Cachalia encouraged learners to stay in school, bring light to their community and to stay away from drugs.

“It is important that you stay away from drugs as it robs you of great opportunities. Staying in school preserves dignity,” he said.

The minister, accompanied by representatives of Broadway Sweets, donated school shoes to the learners as well as a school packs which included sweets, a ruler and a pen.
