Connect with experts at ECR breakfast

Connect with four business experts at the GIBS/East Coast Radio Business Breakfast on 3 March.

FOUR of South Africa’s most influential thought-leaders will gather at Durban's ICC on 3 March to share key learnings and strategic insights at the GIBS/East Coast Radio Business Breakfast.

As one of the most anticipated dates on the KZN business calendar, this year’s executive breakfast, made possible by Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal, will feature the chief executive officer of MTN Ghana, Serame Taukobong, corporate trend analyst, Dion Chang, of Flux Trends, award-winning author, poet, playwright, director, performer and storyteller, Gcina Mhlophe, and Dean of the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science, Nick Binedell.

Serame Taukobong is a talented executive with extensive marketing, operations and sales experience. He was the marketer behind the famous MTN Ayoba campaign, which has won numerous awards in South Africa and globally. In 2011 he was voted Sunday Times Marketer of the Year.

Dion Chang specialises in tracking shifting social dynamics and understanding consumer mindsets. His focus is on translating global trends to ensure relevance for South Africa.

Durban’s Dr Gcina Mhlophe has worked tirelessly for the past 14 years running Nozincwadi Mother of Books Literacy Campaign in her quest to make South Africa a reading nation. Honoured as one of SA’s 21 icons for President Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mhlope uses her love for storytelling to unify and educate.

Professor Nick Binedell’s area of interest in business concerns strategic leadership. He has a deep appreciation of the challenges facing executives in complex organisations, and has a high level of interest in the competitive dynamics of companies and the challenging search for excellence.

East Coast Radio’s breakfast presenter, Darren Maule, will be the morning’s host, as the radio station plays the catalyst to influencing the business landscape by showcasing these captains of industry.

Tickets for the breakfast are available through Computicket. More details on www.ecr.co.za.
