Intersection to be investigated
The municipality will be assessing the intersection of Brand and Cromwell Roads.

THE Municipality has responded to calls for intervention at the intersection of Brand and Cromwell Roads in Glenwood.
A recent article in Berea Mail addressed the issue of motorists not stopping at the intersection, where resident, Tony Ball, said he would be willing to pay for speed bumps to be installed in the intersection.
Deputy Head of the eThekwini Transport Authority, Carlos Esteves, has said the matter will be assessed and investigated which may take up to 10 weeks.
“The time frame relates to the workload that the staff who undertake these assessments have to carry. These assessments need to be undertaken by Traffic Engineering and the same staff deal with all relevant building plans, development applications, re-zonings, general traffic safety complaints (such as this one) as well as undertaking the designs for road and intersection geometric upgrades across the city. Dependent on the prevailing workload and deadline commitments the assessment can therefore take some time to be initiated,” he said.
Esteves said a response on the findings would follow once the assessment and investigation had been completed.
