Trick-or-treat magic lights up Florida Road

The street came alive with spooky fun and community spirit at the second annual Halloween trick-or-treat walk, hosted by Florida Road UIP.

FLORIDA Road in Morningside was abuzz with excitement and laughter on Saturday as the second annual Halloween trick-or-treat walk brought together an odd mix of characters, from princesses to vampires and clowns.

The spooktacular event organised by Florida UIP was the highlight of the afternoon for the busy street which was brought to life by trick-or-treaters. They walked from Mitchell Park down the road, filling their buckets and bags with a variety of treats from local businesses.

Sibahle Gumede, who had brought her young princess for the walk, said they enjoyed themselves. “This was our first taste of Halloween,” said Gumede. “We had a good time and Unothando collected a lot of sweets, which I will be hiding from her.”
