Join the Rhumbelow Theatre for a fun evening of music and dancing on Saturday, April 20, at 16:30 until late – about 7 hours long. Come and learn how to Line Dance and move to good, old dancing music.

In an exciting move, Prime Circle announces Gavin Edwards as their new singer, marking a significant chapter in the band’s celebrated history. Gavin Edwards, an exceptionally skilled singer-songwriter with 28 years of global experience, a former runner-up on The Voice South Africa and previously signed to Brian McFadden’s (ex-Westlife) label, brings a rich background from a flourishing career. “My life has been priming me for something bigger than myself, and this is that moment,” says a grateful Edwards.

Recognised as a rock icon in South Africa, Prime Circle has garnered numerous accolades, including multiple South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Anticipation is building for the release of their upcoming six-track EP, A World We Know, scheduled for June 2024, marking the next exciting chapter in their musical journey. Since its formation in 2001, Prime Circle has achieved multi-platinum status with seven studio albums, delivering chart-topping singles and consistently captivating audiences with sold-out tours. Their success extends beyond South Africa, as the band has strategically expanded their influence into international markets. Book ahead for BollyRave Festival – ColourFest 2024

Lee Who and Cuba BLK present South Africa’s largest Bollywood electronic dance music festival at the Cuba Lounge BLK, Shop 1, at Moses Mabhida on Saturday, April 27.

Tickets range from R100 to R350 and are available on Howler Only those over 18 are allowed.

The doors open at 15:00. Free undercover parking is available inside Moses Mabhida.

Westville Bowls Club presents its annual Gin and Bowls

It’s that time of year again to enter your team of three players at the Westville Bowls Club’s Gin and Bowls. If you enter three players, you will get assigned a fourth player by the Westville Bowls Club and will compete for the Top 3 winners for the day. Entry will get you three games on the day, and the Top 6 will move forward to the playoffs. There will be best-dressed team prizes, as well.

Hike Alverstone Wildlife Park

Durban Hiking and Adventures has organised a hike to the Alverstone Wildlife Park on Saturday, April 20. It is an easy adventure hike that finishes off with a lovely sunset picnic!

The hike starts at 14:30 at Alverstone Wildlife Park. Please Whatsapp for exact location.

Grading: Regular hiker: Grade 1; Casual hiker: Grade 2. The distance is about 5km and tehre is a shorter option for the elderly or families with toddlers which is 2km. The 5km hike will take about 2–3 hours.

Cost is R169pp and U13s are R99pp. This fee includes the entry fee to Alverstone Wildlife Park

Bring snacks, water or cold drinks, a backpack, some snacks and drinks for the picnic. Picnic blankets are provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Walking shoes/takkies with good grip is a must! A hiking stick is recommended!
