EDITOR – I hope some of you readers might help me with some information.
On Thursday 22/8/13 at the intersection of Manning and Berea Roads I was stopped at the robots. I was driving a black Toyota Yaris. A chap on a bicycle suddenly crashed into the right hand back fender of my car.
He was a middle aged white man, wearing a blue T-shirt and red shorts and had a blue backpack on.
I pulled off the road and spoke to him. He told me he had clipped the mirror of another car and lost control of his bicycle and then hit into me. He caused deep scratches and a dent to my car. He told me not to worry it was his fault and he would pay. He gave me his details as Murray Mcgregar with a cell number and an address, 959 Moore Road.
When I tried to contact him I discovered the cell number was false and 959 Moore Road does not exist. I now have to pay out of my pocket for the damages to the car.
I’m appealing to anyone who might have witnessed this or who may know of this cyclist as perhaps he rides this road every morning, to please contact me.
