No stop to water leak on Essenwood

A resident said the municipality should fix leaks when they are reported, in a climate where water shedding is imminent.

EDITOR – I walk in Essenwood Road early (4.10am) every week day and can hear water running down a drain that is situated on the first white line driving north opposite No 52. Essenwood Road.

I have spoken to the owner of Nomads B&B which is further up the road and he said they have reported it many times. They came to look last year but nothing has happened except vast quantities of water still freely flowing away.

Now they have the cheek to want to fine us for using water.

It took them two years to sort out a leak in Berea Road between Essenwood and Musgrave that most Durbanites will remember a year or so ago.
