EDITOR – Referring to the articles recently regarding security, or lack thereof at Musgrave Centre, it simply amazes me how every time there is an incident at Musgrave Centre, there are excuses.
Whether it be theft out of a motor vehicle whilst parked in the “secured” parking lot or the theft of an actual vehicle, when the victim approaches Centre security, they are unhelpful, aloof, the cameras on that particular floor were out of order therefore there was no camera surveillance at the time therefore no footage and/or proof can be supplied, no follow up with police, no support, the security officer happened to be on a tea-break or nipped off to the loo at the precise moment the incident took place.
Yet they have the audacity to print “….Centre Management would like to assure customers that we make every endeavour to ensure safety and security. We work closely with our security and Police to curb violence, theft and other threats to our shoppers. Musgrave Centre handles each incident as it arises with the relevant authorities and aims to rectify any matters as swiftly as possible.”
Practice what you preach Musgrave Centre.
