Heavies leave a trail of destruction

‘Heavies’ that mange the first incline from Tollgate Bridge frequently turn down Glenwood Drive, resulting in considerable problems.

EDITOR – While I am pleased to see that there is possibility of traffic signs being erected to warn drivers of heavy vehicles about the inclines in South Ridge Road, I think that Messrs Horn and Soutar are rather sanguine in expecting to see any improvement.

A further, and serious, problem is that ‘heavies’ that mange the first incline from Tollgate Bridge frequently turn down Glenwood Drive, resulting in considerable problems. We had actually to have our garden wall (on a corner) re-sited to avoid frequent repairs, and as I write (Monday 29 July at 7.43pm) our boundary piers have just been knocked down again – the second time in under three months. Perhaps an appropriate sign at the top of Glenwood Drive might be helpful.
