Jinisha earns bronze in international karate event

Jinisha's future karate goals include attaining her Protea colours in karate and to continuously improve in her sport.

TALENTED SKISA karateka, Jinisha Naidoo, recently participated in the International Kanazawa Cup 2017 and fought against tough competition to achieve a bronze medal. The annual event took place at the Tongaat Indoor Sports Centre.

If this was not enough, the Grade 9 Sastri College learner took her black belt grading under the Japanese master, two time world champion, 8th Dan SKIF, Shihan Manabu Muramkami. She passed with flying colours under the hand and seal of SKIF world grandmaster Kanazawa Soke.

Jinisha Naidoo started training with Sensei Tina Lee and then moved on to advanced training under the watchful eye of Shihan Brando Pillay.

“I trained under Shihan Brando six days a week.which prepared me adequately to grade under our Japanese Master. I sincerely appreciate the sacrifices my parents have made to get me to this level in karate and I must thank my Senseis for this achievement,” she said.

Jinisha’s future karate goals include attaining her Protea colours in karate.
