Entertainment galore at bridal fair

The 19th annual Eastern Bridal Fair boasts top designer Ritu Kumar, magician Mo Magic and a Mandela sculpture exhibition.

THE 19th annual Eastern Bridal Fair and Lifestyle Expo promises world-class entertainment and a scintillating shopping experience at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 10 to 12 August.

The Eastern Bridal Fair and Lifestyle Expo brings together leading wedding-industry service providers including decorators, planners, travel agencies, local and international clothing brands and boutiques, jewellers; as well as the newly introduced lifestyle elements which include Ayurveda, healthcare, beauty, healing, wellness and other related services.

An hour-long fashion showcase paired with music and soulful dance takes place over the weekend andfeatures a cast and crew of local dancers and models.

For the first time in South Africa, the prestigious Ritu Kumar Collection, the largest and most respected designer-wear brand in India today, will be showcased.

Mo Magic will allure and enthral audiences with magic and illusion paired with fashion and dance at the fashion showcase.

In celebration of Madiba’s 100th birthday, there will be an exhibit of 18 life-size wax sculptures of the Nelson Mandela Collection by Durban’s own Lungelo Gumede.

Exhibition times are Friday 5pm to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 10pm.
Tickets bought at the door are R80 (unreserved) and tickets booked via Computicket are R100 (reserved).
