International pianist for recital

Philipp Richardsen will perform on Tuesday, 4 June at Durban Jewish Centre.

FRIENDS of Music Association presents internationally-acclaimed concert pianist Philipp Richardsen on Tuesday, 4 June at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, North Beach, at 7.30pm.

Born in Vienna into a family of medical doctors, Richardsen received first piano lessons at the age of five. His formal music education includes the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna and the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Prelude performer is soprano, Avuya Ngcaweni, a summa cum laude music graduate of UKZN. She is currently doing her honours, majoring in voice performance.

Tickets, which are available at the door, are R100 (members) and R120 (visitors).
