Support Durban Music school fundraiser

Durban Music School will host a fundraising event on Saturday.

DURBAN Music School will hold a fundraising Hat and Tie Tea Party on Saturday, 24 August at the Durban Music School, 21 Diakonia Avenue, Albert Park from 1.30pm to 5pm.

There will be lucky draw prizes, lots of assorted snacks and cakes to eat, tea and coffee as well as a tour of the Durban Music School and a motivational talk about the school by the CEO Kim Matthews. Guests will be entertained by the KZN Youth Wind band, the DMS Jazz Ensemble, the Ikabawo Academy, Kwini Kuza and many more groups.

Funds raised will go towards the Durban Music School, which is a non-profit organisation and community outreach center established in 2001. The Durban Music School, through its programmes, gives 611 orphaned or vulnerable children the opportunity to receive first-class music education by giving them full music bursaries. The school also hosts a chess, dancing and drama academy.
