Gypsy mood for Friends recital

FRIENDS of Music invites the public to an afternoon of fine music celebrating life and love on Sunday, 15 November at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban, at 3pm.
Enjoy music by the Gypsy Strings and pianist, Christopher Duigan and prelude performers at the concert, talented Durban siblings, Amy, (12), and Aiden, (9), Luo.
The vibrant ensemble Gypsy Strings, features four musicians who are all members of the acclaimed KZNPO. They perform a colourful and exciting selection of traditional music in true gypsy style. The quartet is led by violinist Ralitza Macheva, and also includes Annamaria D’Andrea (viola), cellist Ralitza Pechoux and innovative percussionist, Stephane Perchoux.
Duigan has been recognised as a South African piano icon and has performed extensively with all leading South African orchestras in a repertoire of more than 25 works for piano and orchestra. In recital he has developed a popular following through his innovative presentation and programming of a broad and eclectic taste in music.
Tickets are R100 (members) or R120 (non-members) and must be pre-booked through friendsofmusic@webmail.co.za. All Covid 19 regulations will be strictly observed.
