‘The Kid’ defeats ‘The Humble Warrior’ in EFC 106 bout
Oosthuizen couldn't be prouder of getting the win.
Beyers Park EFC star Billy ‘The Kid’ Oosthuizen defeated Emmanuel ‘The Humble Warrior’ Sita via TKO (strikes) in the recent EFC 106 featherweight bout held at the Performance Institute.
Oosthuizen was forced to dig deep after Emmanuel Sita pressed forward immediately with strikes, putting the highly-vaunted boxer on the back foot as both athletes began to swing for the fences.
In the second round, the action continued apace with a well-placed knee from Oosthuizen being the most telling blow, opening up a serious cut under Sita’s eye, knocking him down from which The Kid forced the referee’s stoppage with devastating blows raining down.
Speaking to the Boksburg Advertiser following the fight, Oosthuizen said he couldn’t be prouder of the outcome.
“I’m extremely pleased with my performance. I did exactly what we worked for,” he said.
Oosthuizen explained there isn’t something specific he is going to concentrate on with regard to his preparation for his next fight, of which the details are yet to be disclosed.
“We will focus on everything. That is how you get better.”
