Boksburg North SAPS football team’s winning streak continues

Boksburg North SAPS will take on OR Tambo International Airport police in Kempton Park on June 12.

Gift Mokadi helped the Boksburg North SAPS football team clinch a 3-2 victory over Olifantsfontein SAPS in Thembisa on June 5.

The match is part of the Ekurhuleni North Football League for police officers.

Boksburg North dominated the first half with Mokadi, a striker, scoring two goals.

The score was 2-0 in favour of the visiting team when the whistle blew for half-time.

Olifantsfontein did not back down the second half, scoring two goals to equalise. The last few minutes of the game was nail-biting, but Boksburg North managed to get the win with Mokadi scored the winning goal.

Andrew Mpati, Boksburg North’s coach, said he is proud of his team’s performance.

“I believe we will do even better in the next game as some of our players were unavailable that day,” said Mpati.

Mpati said Boksburg North is now seventh on the log.
