Burglaries reported:

• Prince George Avenue, in Brenthurst.
Stolen: Digital camera and computer monitor.

• Lower Road, in Minnebron.
Stolen: Two television sets.

* A silver BMW 750cc motorbike was stolen from an address along Kitzinger Street.

* Two men were arrested for possession of presumed stolen property at a roadblock along the N17 highway, on Tuesday.

The pair, travelling in a white Mercedes Benz Vito, were stopped at about 3.50pm.

Forty boxes of cigarettes were found in the vehicle, and neither of the men could produce a receipt for the goods.

It was also discovered that one of the men is an illegal immigrant.

* A man was robbed yesterday (Wednesday) after withdrawing R1 000 from an ATM along Voortrekker Road, at about 8.45am.

Three men threatened the victim with a gun.

They took his bank card, money and cellphone.

The trio climbed into a waiting red Toyota Corolla and drove off.

* The driver of a white BMW threatened three men with a gun along Escombe Avenue yesterday.

The victims, travelling in a Renault Megane, were en route to an address where they had been hired to do some work.

The Megane driver noticed they were being followed by the BMW, and stopped the car.

The BMW stopped behind them and the driver alighted, with a gun in his hand.

He ran up to the Megane and demanded to know what the men were doing.

The armed man also demanded that the driver open the car boot so he could search it.

After checking the vehicle, the man returned to his BMW and drove off.

A backpack, containing personal documents, bank cards and a tablet, was found to be missing from the Megane.
