Weekend crime round-up
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A bakkie parked along Goods Road was broken into around 8.15am.
An industrial grinder was stolen from the vehicle.
* A radio and speakers were stolen from a car parked at the corner of Wenden Avenue and Cavendish Street.
* Three men robbed a business along Van Dyk Street, in Dalpark.
The robbers, one of whom was armed with a gun, confronted a man who sleeps on the premises at about 11.30pm.
Stolen items include cash, a cellphone, liquor and sound equipment.
* A residence in the Mkhankwa Village informal settlement, in Witpoort, was burgled of shoes, a cellphone and personal documents.
• Saturday – Three tyres were stolen from a car parked along Kingsway Avenue.
* Two cars were stolen.
A blue Toyota Tazz was stolen from the corner of Madeley Street and Kitzinger Avenue, and a blue Isuzu bakkie was stolen from Van Dyk Street, in Dalpark.
* A business in Neutron Road, Vulcania, was robbed by three men.
The robbers threatened the security guards at gunpoint at around 2am.
A generator, two cellphones and cables were stolen.
• A man was assaulted and robbed at the corner of Goods Road and Stoffberg Avenue.
The victim was attacked by three men at about 3.20pm.
The robbers took the victim’s cellphone and cash.
One suspect was later arrested.
• Sunday – No information was received.
Other:
• Thursday – Two businesses were burgled.
A toolbox and a DVD player were stolen during a break-in at a company along Lemmer Road, in Vulcania, and an air condition was stolen from business premises along Goods Road.
