Brakpan turning season around
Team may still qualify for the Valke Peregrine League semi-finals.
It seems as if CCC Brakpan Rugby Club is turning the season around.
After a shaky start to their 2022 campaign, they have now won two matches in a row.
After defeating Benoni, they followed up with a 29-27 win over North-West University (NWU) at Bosman Stadium on Saturday.
The narrow victory keeps Brakpan’s hopes high of qualifying for the Valke Peregrine League semi-finals.
There were mixed results for the other teams at the club on the day.
Brakpan second team lost 22-12 to NWU. The U21 side, however, had a 16-11 victory on Saturday.
Brakpan will be away at East Rand United this weekend. They will be confident going into that match as they know that this is a team they have beaten in the first round.
