Brakpan High School delivers another stellar performance with outstanding matric results
Brakpan High School continues its success streak, recording 91 bachelor passes, 140 distinctions and multiple subjects with a 100% pass rate.
Brakpan High School achieved an impressive 97.7% pass rate in the 2025 NSC examinations, leaving principal Lucky Nkopane “over the moon” with the results.
According to Nkopane, the school had 176 candidates, 172 of whom passed.
“This is becoming a continuous success story. We also attained 91 bachelor passes and 60 diploma passes,” he said.
“The introduction of ICT, particularly the use of smart boards and the eradication of chalk boards, has changed the mindset of all stakeholders at the school.
“The advancement of technology at our institution has allowed us to focus more on intervention strategies.
“We have shown a serious level of consistency in physical science with a 100% pass and 99,1% pass rate in mathematical literacy. We also scored 98.3% in life science.
“Our top achievers attained a massive 140 distinctions in total. This a huge improvement.”
Nkopane added the school has made great strides in giving quality results, including a 100% pass rate in computer applications technology, English home language, tourism and consumer studies, and life orientation.
“We also had 99% pass in geography and business studies. We continue to perform very well in mathematics and physical sciences because Carnival City and Sun International have always supported our intervention classes,” he said.
Nkopane congratulated the school’s Class of 2025 for a job well done and wished them all the best in their future endeavours.
“I want to thank the school governing body, as well as parents who believed in and supported my vision, and the staff of the school. We would not have achieved this without them,” he said.
“A special gesture of gratitude to Carnival City, Sun International and the Sci-Com Foundation for their support to the academic development in our community in general, and particularly to Brakpan High School.”
