These thugs have no regard for human life

CM Jansen van Vuuren from Brakpan writes: With regards to the robbery over the weekend, it is so heartbreaking that people who are trying to make an honest living are targeted by these thugs, who have absolutely no respect for life or property.

They are useless to the country, either too lazy to work or unemployed, and armed by someone or an organisation which prompts them to do these things.

Money is a necessary evil.

To many, the more they have, the more they want — with no regard for human life!

The robbers fled by car at a speed that churned your stomach.

They could have caused an accident and maybe another life.

For what?

They fled with their tails between their legs and empty handed.

The Brakpan CBD is truly a very dangerous place with the accidents, robberies and drug dealing goin on.

Some will stop at nothing to support their habit and themselves.

It broke my heart to see this playing off before my eyes and I was not able to lift a finger to help in any way.

My heart goes out to these people and their loved ones, and so many other people who have been affected by the violence in our country.

I am a sad woman writing this today.
