On two occasions I have almost bumped into the trolleys pulled by informal recyclers as I’ve passed over the bridge in Rand Collieries.
There is a solid white line on the bridge and you cannot overtake.
You cannot see these guys when you are on the one side of the bridge. It is only when you get to the top that you can see them.
Then you have to hit brakes and you cannot swerve, as there is oncoming traffic.
These trolleys are huge and also block the road.
These guys are placing themselves, and motorists, in danger.
I suggest that they find an alternative route to take, as their trolleys are not roadworthy either.
I can understand that these guys also have to make an honest living and I do not have an issue with that.
Can the traffic [authorities] perhaps help to resolve this problem, before someone gets seriously hurt or even killed?
These guys don’t have insurance.
What would happen if one had to bump into one of these guys?
