Luck has run out for lazy councillors

It is time for the residents of the town to make their voices heard.

Peter Bachtis from Benoni writes:

My annual pilgrimage to my father’s grave at the Brakpan cemetery made me question whether anyone at the council has basic common decency.

The cemetery is a disgrace! Finished and klaar.

It is unkempt, overgrown with a variety of weeds, taller than the highest building in Brakpan.

The lack of security and crumbling infrastructure are an indictment against councillors who have no place in town politics.

I blame the mayor directly for displaying sickening ineptitude as the town implodes into a heap of foul-smelling dung.

Plastic City has also been allowed to develop, unchecked, without appropriate services – a veritable hellhole.

It is time for the residents of the town to make their voices heard and bring to a halt this devil-may-care attitude that has all but destroyed this town that was once pristine.

To all those fat-cat councillors, get off your backsides and develop a work ethic to improve the fortunes of Brakpan.

Your lazy luck just ran out!
