DFC let half time lead slip

After a 3-1 defeat by BB Africa, in the Benoni South Football Association (BSFA) Division One, last weekend, Dalpark Football Club (DFC) met Eleven Experience a week later, at the Actonville Stadium.

The team seemingly dusted off the cobwebs from their defeat and started brightly in the first half on Saturday.

They went into the break 2-0 up.

Too many mistakes in the second half saw the team concede two goals, to see the game finish in a 2-2 draw.

“It was a disappointing result,” said coach Brian Fray.

“I thought we would finish off the game in the second half, as we had the chances to kill off the game, but our strikers did not have their scoring boots on.

“There were a lot of positive that came out of the game, but, obviously, also some negatives on which we need to work in the coming weeks.

Dalpark FC’s goal-scorers on the day were Matome Mokwena and Zanokuhle Radebe.
