The MEC for CoGTA (The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs) in Gauteng, Jacob Mamabolo with the Acting Provincial Commissioner for SAPS in Gauteng, Major General Fred Kekana led integrated provincial service delivery operations at the four-way crossing on the N12 near Fochville on September 3.

According to the SAPS these operations included multidisciplinary roadblocks by various law enforcement agencies with the Gauteng Premier’s office and Community Safety, Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Happy Xaba, Corporate Communications, all traffic departments as well as Merafong Local Municipality representatives. 

Corporate Communication Marketing team engaged motorists as they handed out pamphlets dealing with issues such as crime prevention, illegal mining and tips against gangsterism during various roadblocks.
